Dynamic Wind at the National Championships
A competition involving 15 races over 5 days and against 76 other boats sure sounded like a daunting task. We battled ridiculously strong wind, a ridiculous lack of wind, and everything in between. However, some things stayed constant; our determination to improve, our sense of team spirit, and crucially our love for the spirited sport that is sailing. All long-time teammates improved vastly from last year, and all newcomers handled the challenge with flair. While a number of the Grade 11s may soon leave the team as the pressure of IB mounts, the team is in good health due to its strong base of young talent. We had a great time, and eagerly await Byte National Championships 2013.
