ISchoolNet.org provides "tools for schools" that are powerful, dependable and sustainable. Our mother company is International Knowledge Networks, or IKN. We are focused on bringing the equivalent of alternative energy to schools, teachers and students -- and businesses with an interest in learning and teaching. Our method is to support the use of excellent existing free and open source solutions with our considerable experience in both education and also Web-based software development and system administration.

By "support" we mean everything from installation to customization and consulting to training. We also design, develop and host Web sites and Web tools -- all of the tools we offer are available to clients as hosted solutions. We believe this is a much-over-looked and valuable alternative to expensive in-house solutions -- and our customers will back up this belief. Furthermore, we train our clients in the use of the tools they are using. It's part of the service, billed montlhy at an affordable rate.

ISchoolNet is non-religious, non-sectarian, and it is dedicated to empowering individuals who see that we are all in this together. Its logo, the black-headed ibis silhouetted against the sun, symbolizes the Greek God of learning, Apollo, or the Egyptian god of literacy, Thoth, delivering wisdom from afar. This is a fitting symbol as we are inspired to encourage learning everywhere via the Internet, especially the World Wide Web.
